Russ Trautwig The best thing about being a writer is that it gives me an outlet for all the crazy shit that runs around inside my head. Truth is, once I get them out on paper, I have a separation with them; those thoughts become part of an entity that is unique and detached from me. They have their own existence and I can look in on them from the outside instead of viewing them as part of what's on my inside. It alows me to move on and grow and focus on new thoughts and new challenges and new stories.
Russ Trautwig I count myself among the fortunate few who do not seem to be plagued with this concern. I do spend many sleeples nights rolling plot ideas around in my bed with me so that each new day I've already wrestled with where the story needs to go before I begin writing. I'm not recommending sleeplessness as a mehod for dealing with writer's block just postulating that it is perhaps the reason I have not been bothered with it.
Russ Trautwig Write about what you know! Be prepared for rejection but don't be disheartened by it. Persevere. If you believe you have a story to tell its only a question of finding the right listeners.
