My family saw a UFO deep in the Arizona desert near midnight when I was eight years old. It hovered at the side of the deserted highway we were driving. My father pulled over and got out of the car. It stayed there for several minutes and then, in an instant, it was up in the heavens, miles and miles away in the far distance. What planet was it from? What did they want? Why did they hover and watch us for so long?

Dylan, the youngest Govain brother, is loosely based on a bronc riding college rodeo champ who asked me out when I was a young rodeo queen. He was all confidence and flash, but a sweetheart, too.

I've always enjoyed writing and I love ranching, the rodeo life, sexy cowboys and cowgirls who hold their own in a man's world. There is endless inspiration in these characters and I can't wait to write the ideas that are always swirling around in my head.

I'm finishing the last book in my The Govain Cowboys series. I recently broke my shoulder and couldn't type so am nearly three months behind my deadline. I can't wait for my fans to meet Caleb, Adam and Dylan, my sexy cowboy heroes, and the amazing women they fall in love with.

Follow your dream. Not everyone can be a full time writer. That doesn't mean you give up. Carve out time each day, even if it's only thirty minutes, and you'll be surprised how the pages add up. Join an authors' group. The support of fellow authors and training you receive will be priceless.

I love being my own boss. I'm a very self-motivated person so I'm able to keep myself focused on writing as a full-time job with no problem. If you're thinking of becoming an author, you need to know that "butt glue" is a requirement. LOL. Staying put and writing through daily distractions is a must.

I don't often have writer's block but when I do, I put my laptop away and read one of my TBR romances. It gets me in the groove, and when I take up my keyboard again, I'm ready to rock.
