That's a tough question. I think it would have to be somewhere accessible from a secret door or portal... that theme has always been fascinating to me.

I don't really plan ahead for reading... I read a book then look to the recommendations and go on to the next based on how l feel at that moment.

I don't get writer's block. There are times when I may not be 'in the mood' to write, so I don't write then. I wait until I can give my full attention to the process and then I plow through several chapters at once. Later, I go back and edit or clean up what I wrote... but I never feel like I can't write SOMETHING. There are ALWAYS things to write about :)

Since I am self publishing, and treating this as a hobby, I don't have the stress and pressure of catering to what my publisher wants from me. I can write when I want, publish as quickly as I want (or as slowly), and I control the process. I love hearing people's feedback about their connection to my characters and that they are excited for the next book. It makes it all worth it.

Ask a lot of questions! Save up for a good editor (make sure your gut feels right about the partnership) and do it!

Rachel's Journey begins the four part series The Throne of Brimley, I am currently working on book #2; Jarrell's Vision. Rachel and her friends and family continue from where the first book left off, on a new adventure.

I had been very sick in 2014, with not a lot to do while I was recovering. I loves writing when I was younger, so when I started reading stories on my Kindle, and my daughter wanted to read too- I thought it would be fun to write something for her to read.

I wanted a story that my daughter could read- without feeling uncomfortable about the content (she was 13 when I started writing Rachel's Journey). The main character is based off my daughter. The story itself came to me as I went... I have a lot of ideas rolling around in my head.
