Having a platform to be able to educate and entertain young readers. I love writing about current issues in the world, particularly animal conservation, allowing readers to learn more from a different perspective about topics they may otherwise not be aware of.

After travelling with work and observing the detector dogs going about their business at the airport, this is where the idea first came to mind. It started off as something I wanted to pitch as an animated television series but evolved into a chapter book.

By stepping away from technology and into nature, taking the kids for walks and taking notice of the small things that surround me. It's during these quiet times my mind can wander and I'm inspired to think creatively.
