I had a rather incredible dream that I remembered and wrote down. I created a story surrounding that dream.

Mostly by people and events in my life. I have always loved to tell stories of my adventures, as a writer I can tell stories, change the characters and settings, and embellish them however I want to to make them more interesting...and fictitious.
Then I lock myself away and enter the world of my characters completely without distraction and I write.

In my mind, success or failure is not necessarily based on number of books sold, rather if you had the perseverance and tenacity to write a book in the first place. Following through, finishing the task, completing what you set out to do, there is victory in that.

I run, a lot.
I don't run on treadmills or with music though. Instead, I love to run with my friends either very early in the morning on the silent streets in my neighborhood or in the serene stillness of the area trails. The quiet atmosphere, the cadence of my breath and the rhythm of my feet hitting the ground puts me into a bit of a zen place where I can be creative.
