Rick Hall I write non-linearly. In order to do that, I have a general outline for all the chapters before I start writing. On any given day when I want to write, I ask myself if I feel like writing a fight scene today, or a chase, or epiphany moment. Whatever I'm in the mood for, I locate a suitable chapter in my outline and write it. Rick Hall I read an article somewhere about a parasite that causes grasshoppers to commit suicide by jumping into a body of water and drowning (because while it's easier to invade the grasshopper, the parasite really wants to be in the water). I found myself fascinated by the idea that a virus living in your brain could have its own agenda and intelligence
