I'm afraid it's setting myself a deadline and a goal! I get ideas all the time, my problem is more that if I'm writing, everything else goes out of the window. So, I need to make sure I don't have too many other commitments that the writing is going to blow away...

I've had the idea for a LARP state and a rough outline of the story for years but was never sure about the protagonist until I'd finished Utopia Five. I realised Lee Sands would be perfect for the role. I really wanted to see what would happen if Lee visited the place. It also fitted in well with the Panopticon series because it was another unreal world - although this time it wasn't virtual.
