My most recent book comes from my experience growing up. I had decided that I wanted to wait until marriage for sex and I didn't know alot of people doing that. It was hard to find a support system and stand my ground. I didn't have the proper tools (words of wisdom) that I needed to stay focused on the goal. With the YA series, Love by You, I focus on one main relationship of two characters: Jonah and Clove. Book one is there foundational friendship, book two is them growing in love, book three is how they maintain their love in the midst of being around peer pressure and other people who are doing what they've chosen not to do.

My mom was a writer and an actress for a local theater. Her creativity inspired me.

Writing helps me get all my thoughts out and it helps me see things from a different perspective especially when I write about things that aren't as familiar to me. It causes me to do research and to go out and experience things for myself.

I watch a show series or movie. Taking walks helps me sort out my writing. Usually I find that there's something I've written in a scene that just didn't go well and caused me to have the block. So I erase the scene/sentences that caused me to pause and go in a different direction.

Oh good question. I wish I had a fantasy place where I'd like to go, but I don't. I really just want to go to Paris. That's my next destination place.

I always say I'm going to read the classics, but then I tend to be more of an emotional reader or situational reader. If I'm out thrifting (i love thrifting) and I find a book that looks interesting, I'll read it. So I guess I don't really have a summer reading list.
