It hasn't been a major problem so far. I do have an issue with the next book of the thriller series. I have the plot in mind, but the theme is dark, and I can't bring myself to pen it down. I've been advised to try going back and forth between my second romcom and the thriller.

The entertainment you carry in your head. Most days, it's better than TV.

Oh, my goodness. I don't know if my advice is worth anything, but...
1. You need to write every day. Could be 500 to 1000 words, but you need to write. Even if you trash the whole thing the next day, you need to keep writing (Sub-point - Don't trash the scenes. You might use them in another book. I have a kindergarten fight scene I'm still holding onto). If you skip one day... then, two... then, three... before you know it, it's one year, and you haven't written anything.
2. Jot down your ideas. I send texts to myself all the time.
3. Get critique partners who're not going to lie to you. There ARE times you might need TLC, but you need your CPs to tell you what it is about your manuscript that rubs them wrong.

Juggling the sequel to Mumbai - A Goan Holiday - and a drama/suspense series which is quite different in tone from the romcoms.

Every little incident in life can trigger an idea. You may be venting on WhatsApp to a friend re: the mundane annoyances in life, and a black comedy might appear on Amazon a few months hence.

Honestly, it started with a discussion among friends on some of the recent movies and books. The idea was to take every cliche and turn it on its head, but the plot took a life of its own after a couple of chapters. No idea if the cliche-turning thing worked... guess the readers will tell me.
