Lassiter Williams Just write something. Anything. An answer to a Goodread's question. Eventually the paralysis will subside.
Lassiter Williams Working directly with magic.
Lassiter Williams Since I'm an aspiring writer...my advice to myself is...Just do it. Butt in chair. Make the keyboard go clackity clack, fill the scary white space, eventually the magic will reveal itself. But not without some seemingly endless clackity clackings.
Lassiter Williams Wake up in the morning. Inspiration isn't the problem. It's everywhere all the time. For example, have you ever noticed how amazing feet are? I totally want to write an ode to feet...But it's actually sitting down and turning the inspiration into something readable that's the challenge.
Lassiter Williams My next book is a Middle Grade urban fantasy called Cody Seltzer and the Creeping Shadows.
Lassiter Williams My grandmother and I were watching the movie Troy and she was kind of shocked by all the violence (not to mention Bradd Pitt's bare butt). When the movie was over she said, "I wonder if the history of the world would've been different if women had the same physical strength as men..." She was probably just thinking about calmer movie-viewing experiences, but I was so caught by the question--how would the history of the world have been different if women had the same physical strength as men-- that I went straight to my computer and stayed up all night dreaming up a world/situation in which to explore it.
