It's really boring but I just write every day when I am working on a project. This way, ideas flow when I am not working because I am always thinking about the story. For instance, I was at the vet while writing my novel and this awesome bulldog came in. He's in the story now!

I enjoy that ah-ha moment when everything works. I also love to revise. I know I am in the minority on that but I find the process of improving my writing to be extremely satisfying.

When I am in the process of writing a novel, I write a set amount per day (usually 500 words) no matter what. Sticking to this consistent process usually keeps writer's block to a minimum as even a forced idea can lead to a better one.
