If I get stuck on a project, I immediately shift to something else and it usually involves nature or food. I'll take a walk. I'll call a friend and see how their day is going. I'll get a glass of chocolate milk, just something small and simple that brings me into the present moment. I find that eventually my subconscious will eventually answer the question.

The best thing about being a writer is seeing how people interpret your story as their own. Seeing how it impacts them and what they take away continues to really move me. Little Love has impacted children as young as 3 years old that were taking away huge amounts of insight, to teenagers that are struggling with self image. It's amazing to see how stories can impact us.

Done is better than perfect. Reiterate, but don't spin. Sometimes we think that continuing to perfect and shape is getting it done, when actually it can be just another form of procrastination.

I'm working on a second book in the Little Virtue Series called Little Brave. Courage was another lesson I had to learn besides self love. Little Brave is about a little knight that finds out how to overcome his fear and what true courage is all about.

I spend a lot of time thinking and meditating. It's those moments of introspection that inspire me to write about what I care most about.

I got my idea from my own life experiences, but the story came to me word for word one night after waking up from a dead sleep. I grabbed a pen and piece of notepad paper that I kept on my nightstand, and began to write the story that is now Little Love.
