J.C. Everlyn As I tucked my daughter into bed, she whispered, "There's someone under my bed who looks just like me." When I looked down, a pair of identical eyes stared back, wide with terror, as the voice whispered, "Don't let her get in."

J.C. Everlyn Hi J.P.,
Sure! I see you sent a second request. I will answer that one. Sorry for the delayed response.
J.C. Everlyn A lot of promoting on many social websites, including Goodreads, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, AllAuthor, Amazon, and YouTube. Making trailers that help tell the story also helps. Anything you can do to spread the word, like flyers or business cards, also helps. Also, make posts before your book release to raise awareness (create a lot of hype). Follow reading groups that will let you promote your books to their followers. Make sure to interact with groups and not just promote.
J.C. Everlyn Currently, I am:
1) Starting book 2 of the Edgewater Curse series, Loved Ones Reassured :-)
2) Working full-time as an Accountant
3) Halfway through my Master’s in Accountancy (now on class 6/10).
4) I am running my youngest daughter around to different activities (dance, piano, swimming).
5) I am spending time with my husband and the rest of my family (including my fur babies; two dogs and cat) whenever I can.
J.C. Everlyn In my opinion, the best thing about being an author is that I get to share the ideas and stories that are in my head with all of my readers. Seeing how excited my readers get when they talk about my book and the many more books to come is what makes being an author the best decision I’ve ever made. Thank you for reading my book and for being such supportive fans!
J.C. Everlyn Seeing posts from my favorite authors inspires me to write all the time. It was reading Lara Adrian’s books that inspired me to follow my dreams of writing, and look at me now; I’m a published author!
J.C. Everlyn I noticed while writing Loved Ones Lost, that if I created a chapter layout beforehand, it helped me think of what I wanted to write about in that chapter. I’m a spreadsheet fanatic, so I created a list with three columns; the chapter number, the chapter subtitle, and a short description of what I wanted to happen in that chapter. I noticed that once I started creating it, more ideas started pouring into my head. I’ve also seen that sometimes I can be sitting there thinking, what should I write about now, but once I started putting my hands to work, the ideas and words began to flow out of me and the next thing I knew I had a finished book.
J.C. Everlyn I love supernatural/paranormal romance; whether it be books, movies, or TV series. I knew this would be the genre that I wanted to write in, but I wanted to be unique from others out there. As an example, I tried not to use the standard, “this is how a vampire is.” I wanted to make them more unique, but very powerful. It’s also not common for there to be different types of supernaturals in one family. Knowing this is what inspired me to make it a curse (legacy); to explain how each member has a different power. Well, I don’t want to give away too much, so I’ll stop there. Enjoy reading and don’t forget to review, follow and share!
J.C. Everlyn My advice for aspiring writers is, just go for it. I’ve debated it for over ten years convincing myself that I didn’t have the time or that I wasn’t good enough, but I had to get past those thoughts. Now is the time! That is what I told myself. Also, make sure you have a support group. Hearing encouraging words and even getting thoughts and ideas from readers and family members helps when you hit a writer's block or if you start losing faith. Stay strong and believe in yourself. You can do it!
