Cheryl Clarke Just start writing. Set your timer/alarm on your phone for 15 minutes and write. Do that once a day. That's all. Pretty soon, you'll write for 30 minutes...then 45 minutes, because you won't want to stop. And before you know it, you'll have a chapter and then chapTERS. Outlines are really helpful too. They are like a road map to help keep you on course.
Cheryl Clarke Oh! The creativity. Using my imagination to create new worlds, characters, etc. The act and art of creating something raw and new and reforming it until it's ready.
Cheryl Clarke When it comes to writer's block, less is more. If I am really frustrated, I'll take a nap, eat chocolate or even hoola hoop! Anything to change my brain's thought patterns. Often, when I return to my writing, I'm refreshed and can start writing again. Give yourself room to take breaks and step away from your work.
