It's really hard to get published, but that doesn't mean anything except to your mom. It's only the beginning of your journey, no one cares that you wrote a book. You have to try and move heaven and earth to get people to read it. There is so much out there, that you have to really do different things to get people's attention. And then you have to get the right people to read. There might not be anything wrong with your book, but taste matters. Ever read a classic and not like it, your book isn't as good. Do whatever you have to do to keep this from depressing you, and if you are really a writer, the books will come out of you no matter if you want them to or not.

I have never had writer's block until recently; usually I know what is going to happen from the start of a book until the end before I write it. Once you have a good idea then if you have discipline the book will practically write itself. Killing Hitler wasn't planned out in as much detail as I usually do, but it seemed like I got inspiration as I was writing it. I am writing the second book in the series now, Rise of the Nazis, and I am running into writers block. I have been trying to take it slow and think about it and let my subconscious work on the book while I think about other things, I will get inspiration soon enough.

While thinking about how my last book didn't do as well as I had hoped, especially since it was published rather than being self-published, I decided I needed to make something more controversial, at least something that sounded controversial. I had heard somewhere that the crazier a person was, the better they were in bed, then I thought, there is no crazier person in history than Hitler! This evolved in my mind into Hitler getting killed by a jealous Eva Braun, and somehow this leading to a worse present. I knew I had a winner, the Saving Hitler Series. It had to be a comedy because, how could that not be?
