I love the fact that I can take someone on an emotional journey. That they can read a story and feel something and envision the person or the scene, means the world to me.

Sometimes music inspires me. There are other times; I can hear a random conversation that I can use perfectly. A certain amount of visual stimulation can help be it photos or videos. Lastly, sometimes it's just the characters providing an idea that can send you in a different direction.

I'm currently working on the follow up to 'My Dazs of Dancing with the Dark Muse': 'Gotta Get High to Fall so Low'. This will be the second novel in the 'Better to Burn Series'.
However, I'm also working on two other pieces, Both most likely novellas. One is about Ava Richards and John Derringer's teen years as a couple. The second, which I haven't started work on yet is a biography told from Ava's point of view that will pick up in her teen years through the time near the end of 'My Daze'.

I was at Barnes & Noble working on a daily tarot blog and a different novel when I decided I should do a character blog for Nigel Hartagan. It was supposed to be a promotional tool to tie into the main book.
After a year and a half, I pulled the blog and realized Nigel had his own story to tell. While there were days, I would write and think where in the world did I come up with this. I knew this was the way to tell his story.

Just keep writing!
I started writing in high school and never stopped. It took me a long time to finally publish my first book, but I did it. The best advice is if you have a story to tell, just keep writing and tell the story you want to tell.

Sometimes I look for inspiration online in either photos or videos. There are other times I just force myself to write, knowing I may never use it. I figure at least I was able to move past the block. When all else fails, I just step away for a day or two and come back to it.
