From a variety of sources, I studied in Edinburgh so I know the city well and it ws a pleasure to travel back there in my mind. The book is about a Midwife, I spent a lot of time on the labour ward myself unfortunately I had problems with my second pregnancy and I was in and out of there every day for months so I saw a lot of comings and goings that would make a great story!
