I don't judge myself when it comes to writer's block. I don't try to force myself out of it either. I embrace it, sometimes I take a week or even a month off it's needed. I spend time with my family and friends, I spend time in nature, and or exercise. You have to reset and take a step back as a writer. It will come back to you. It always does. Just listen to what your body and mind are saying to you. Your intuition will guide you.

Being able to share my story and have my voice be heard. Writing is where I can fully be myself and share my creativity. And it's kind of amazing to do something I truly love.

Be unapologetically authentic. Being yourself is absolutely the key to life and happiness. And for writing your first book, try to write something everyday even if it's a sentence. Days where I couldn't write anything, I'd literally write, "I don't know what to say and I love that." And by the next day, I'd write a paragraph or more.

I can't discuss too much of the details but I am working on a new book that's completely different from this. It's a book for teens about anxiety and how to cope with it. We live in a crazy time and teens are struggling more so it seems. They need a go-to book they will enjoy to read about a serious problem.

I go by how I feel. I have to write in silence and preferably alone if I can. I can't force writing, so I try to take care of myself. Self-care is everything and that usually sparks inspiration.

After years of traveling and writing in my personal travel journal, I found people always wanted to hear about my stories. Telling people in person, they were so impressed and inspired by what I've experienced. It's been a dream of mine to be an author and I hope to inspire many people. I want people to hear my story and know they too can live their truth despite any struggles you may go through. You can come out stronger in the end.
