I'm so glad you asked, Mitsy. I've been hard at work (if you can call living inside the exciting world of The Academy Saga work) on Book V. I'm hoping to have it done by the new year. However, just in case, I've set a launch date for February. I know that seems like a long time away, but I promise, it is SO worth the wait! Can't wait to share what's been going on with Pete, Kate, & Ranger inside the walls of The Academy! Hi Leigh! I'm so glad you asked. There are a planned 6 books in the series, if I can tie up all the loose ends in 6. If not, then 7. LOL! And I have to say, that each one just gets better than the next! Can't wait for you to see what Book IV has in store for you. But just a precaution: You better buckle up, because it's a turbulent ride!!

Hi Shawn-Joy! I've been asked this a lot. It's definitely in the works, but finding the right voice has been hard. Plus, I wanted to launch Book II first, and now I've been commissioned to write something else. So I'm pretty dang busy, which I love but it's definitely put the audio on the back burner. I need to get my team on it, but I'm so hands-on that I'd end up doing it all myself anyway. LOL! So that was the long answer. The short answer is yes. :-)

Hi Jessica! Everyone seems to have mixed feelings about Andrew getting left behind. I can't give anything away, but I will say that we haven't seen the last of "golden boy" Andrew Connelly.

As the story unfolds, there are little tidbits of her mother's backstory sprinkled in. So, even though Kate's mother is dead, her story still lives on in the series. It's one of the mysteries that begins to be solved in Book II. I really can't say more, as it would spoil the fun. You'll just have to wait to see how it all plays out! Mind-blowing would be the way to describe the next book. Truly. I can't wait for y'all to take the next part of the journey!

Hi Jessica! Obviously, I can't reveal Pete's whearabouts as that would ruin the fun. You'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out. So much happens to Kate, Pete, and Ranger in Book II, it'll make your head spin! I can't wait to continue the journey with you! Book II, Cadet-in-Training is set to launch this July! Hmmmm. This one is a toughy. There are so many wonderful fictional worlds I've been lucky enough to inhabit for a while. One I might choose to revisit first would be the dystopian world of "The Hunger Games," just so I could go back and kill President Snow myself!

I'm always reading something: a self-help book, reading along with my eleven-year-old son's latest sports fiction, or a fat, juicy novel I've found undiscovered on a dusty shelf. I recently finished "The Goldfinch," which took me on a journey and made me fall in love with a street-wise, scrappy Russian. And my sister just handed me her "Where the Crawdads Sing." I just love a deep, satisfying book with a strong female protagonist. What's up next is soon to be discovered. Stayed tuned . . .

Great question, Suzanna! I usually have two or three books going at once--self-help, whatever book my eleven-year-old son is reading, and something to dive into right before bed. Right now I'm finishing up Michelle Obama's "Becoming" and really enjoying her journey.

I've always been fascinated by elite military forces and the idea of secret government agencies. I also love the drama of a good love triangle and what happens when two opposing worlds clash. Because where there's friction . . . there's bound to be heat!

I've always been really imaginative, oftentimes living more inside my head than in the outside world, LOL! Sometimes it's hard to go from one reality to another, but I literally can't imagine a life without writing. The creative juice just flows through me; I think I have more ink in my veins than blood!

I'm currently working on editing "The Academy, Cadet-in-Training." Everyone that reads "The Academy" immediately clamors for Book 2, which is super-exciting. But between trying to market Book 1 and working on finishing Book 2, well . . . let's just say it's keeping me busy! But I love it and wouldn't have it any other way.

The best thing about being a writer is I get to be the portal through which these amazing characters come to life. Their story keeps me up long into the night, but it's definitely worth it to share the journey with my readers.
