Angelina M. Lopez I just turned in the second in the "Filthy Rich" series, HATE CRUSH. Hate Crush is about the sister of the prince in LUSH MONEY, Princesa Sofia, and a rock star she once had a three-month love affair with when she was 18. It's because of him that she's sworn to never fall in love again. But a drunken video where he declares HER to be the mystery woman in his breakout song makes the world go bonkers, and now she has a fake a month-long relationship with him if she wants to keep the world's attention on her winery launch, a winery she believes will make or break the fortunes of her small, Spanish principality. It's another BONKERS book in the Filthy Rich series!!!
Angelina M. Lopez In 2015, I was an unpublished author posting fan fiction to Wattpad just to be able to connect with readers. I noticed that there A LOT of dominant billionaire/boss/stepdaddy books on the site where the men were horrible alpha-holes to the female love interest. Wattpad is primarily a younger audience, and it killed me that these young women were creating these men as some sort of an ideal.

I was looking through covers and thought one of them said, "The Billionaire's Prince." I thought to myself, "Hmm...that must be a male/male book." And then I realized the assumption I'd made. Me, a self-professed feminist, assumed the billionaire had to be a MAN!!! The title of the cover I saw was actually, "The Billionaire's PRICE," but regardless, it had given me a lightening strike of a story idea.

What if the billionaire was a woman?

The goal when I wrote "Lush Money" (originally titled "The Billionaire's Prince") was to create a female character with all the power and self-determination of those male billionaire's we lust after. How would she move in the world? What would her desires be? What could she still want, when she could buy everything? I hope every woman sees some of her self in the power, strength and vulnerability of Roxanne Medina.
