Oran Brucks I build my characters from a scratch idea of their role in the story. Villain, hero or just a character who supports some scene, event or other character. I especially dislike stereotypes so try to make each character unique as much as possible.

Oran Brucks My grade 9 English teacher gave me a book as a gift at the end of the school year. She said. "Oran master this book and you will be a great writer one day". The book was a grade 8 speller book.
Oran Brucks The "idea" started as many ideas that came together while studying early American history. The more I read and studied the period the more I felt inspired to write a novel of the period. The Journals of Lewis and Clark and their journey West was a great inspiration as well.
