I wanted to discuss women’s issues in the form of a story, with the hope of sharing many of our experiences from many different women’s perspective. Many women deal with unintended weight gain and life struggles along with that for many different reasons. I wanted to have a group of very different interesting, and intelligent woman from varying backgrounds who were united through friendship and their commitment to each other. This concept birthed The Phat Girlz Club. I hope readers enjoy these women and their journeys as much as I have creating them.

I am inspired to write because I have a burning desire to express myself through my writing. Time is a precious commodity and I’d like to use it to get as many of my stories out as possible.

Today I am resting. But the next project is the next sequel in The Phat Girlz Club series.

Just write. Don’t critique or criticize yourself. Just get it down on paper or whatever medium you use. Get it out and finish it. Keep working your craft and always work to improve yourself.

The best thing about writing for me is the ability to clear my mind of my ideas. It’s exceptionally gratifying to see a finished product and know that I did that. I love the interaction I have with the readers as we discuss storylines and characters. Very satisfying thing to do, is to write.

I don’t often experience writers block. More commonly I have difficulty shutting the ideas off. But I find stepping away and giving my mind a rest can clear a block. I may play a mindless repetitive game and that does wonders for me.

Anything from the Carpathian series and Christine Feehan. I just started reading this series again after a long pause and I still love them.
