I am drawn to the many cultural or traditional narratives and how they affect human existence and relationships.

Growing up in Africa,Nigeria afforded me the opportunity to observe- first hand the burden which culture placed on the girl child. I quickly leaned in protective comradship. But as I grew older and became more exposed to more people, I learnt of the existence of women ; and men who never would agree to the repressive tradition that promoted the thinking/narrative that the girl child belonged to the bottom of the pile - I thought to write a story to celebrate such humans.
