I am fascinated with the lengths that humans will go to hurt each other. I am also fascinated with the idea of reincarnation. I think it would be beautiful to have three chances at life before being placed in a permanent afterlife situation. However, I never really thought coming back as an insect would be ideal. Basically I combined both of these ideas and then wrote "Reborn" during Nanowrimo!

I have been writing for as long as I remember. I don't know when I started or when I figured out that I could, but I have always found comfort in reading and telling stories.

This year I am trying to read more outside my comfort zone. I usually devour YA fiction and Horror stories of any age level, but I am going to try to read more literary fiction.

I would love to travel to the land of the Fae in Holly Black's novels. Even though they are terrifying, I am attracted to the allure of the magic and mystical beings that snare and entrap unsuspecting humans.

If I have trouble writing something I will meditate, listen to music that aligns with the theme of my writing, or I will read. I like to read everything, so I am careful to read something OTHER than what I am writing about. I am always worried about accidentally stealing ideas that way and this way I can stay true to my own stories.

Don't give up, and don't take no for an answer, especially from yourself. I have been going to writing workshops since I was 14 years old and I have always come back with something new. Writing is an evolving process and you can only get better with practice, so keep going!
