The extraordinary feeling of achievement (and relief) that comes with getting to type "The end." Of course, should I ever get a royalty check, I might have to revisit this answer.

That's when I force myself to write. The result is usually so bloody awful that reading it back often shames me into doing it over. Next thing you know, I'm back in the groove. Failing that, though, there's always Jack Daniels, an Eagles CD and the acceptance that tomorrow's another day.
