There is an anonymous quote that goes like this: "Inspiration is the act of drawing up a chair to the writing desk." It's true. You just have to sit down and write, no matter how bad it is. Maybe you delete it all later, but at least that will get you from the desert to the watering hole. Also, have something to say. If you really and truly have nothing to say, it won't matter how many times you pull that chair up to the desk.
