Dean Petersen I see things in my head that are interesting or frightening and the ideas start coming. Places are really important to my writing.

Dean Petersen Start early. Don't stop. Keep doing it as often as possible. Even if you don't think what you're writing is great, don't quit until a better idea comes along.
Dean Petersen It helps a lot with depression and anxiety. I'd love to make films, but the coolest part of writing is that you don' t need lots of money or a big crew. The story you project into peoples' heads is limited only by your words and how hard you're willing to work with them.
Dean Petersen I try to write something completely different than what I normally write. I try a new setting, or a new subject that I think might not pan out, but it lets me try something different and new.
