Start early. Don't stop. Keep doing it as often as possible. Even if you don't think what you're writing is great, don't quit until a better idea comes along.

It helps a lot with depression and anxiety. I'd love to make films, but the coolest part of writing is that you don' t need lots of money or a big crew. The story you project into peoples' heads is limited only by your words and how hard you're willing to work with them.

I try to write something completely different than what I normally write. I try a new setting, or a new subject that I think might not pan out, but it lets me try something different and new.
