I haven't had a problem with finding new material to write, but I will procrastinate when I am working on a project that has become troublesome (for whatever reason). So, I put a clock on the writing session. I force myself to work on a problematic section for just five minutes, with the idea that I can scrap or revise anything I've added. Usually after the five minutes my brain wants to continue.
In the main, I am fortunate I get to write at all, and understand, given every book and every script will take at least twice as long to write as I think they will at onset, that I will never get to all of the things I want to write in this short life. So, best get cracking.

It takes a certain disposition to sit for hours, alone in a room, writing, day after day, year after year, with no guarantees a single person outside the room will love or even admire the result. But, if that's how you feel you must spend your time, then you must also do it and keep going. Make writing your daily practice. Read great books. Keep going!
