I am currently trying to write a new book but unfortunately it's top secret so I can't tell you any details about it. So far I'm only about 10,000 words in because my 3-year-old has a tendency to shove a book in my face whenever I'm trying to write saying 'READ IT!' I'm glad she has my love of books but it's not helping with the writing process!

Believe in yourself! Sounds simple but self-doubt was what hampered me for so long and I wish someone had told me to believe in myself a bit more because it stopped me ever finishing my novel. It wasn't until I got selected for a place on a Curtis Brown Creative course that I had enough faith in myself to finish my novel.

The best thing about being a writer is hands-down connecting with readers - seeing them fall in love with characters you created and getting swept up in a fictional world that came out of your head is amazing!
