At the moment I'm throwing myself into all manner of stories. I'm looking at wide-open fantasy worlds all the way to modern, you couldn't make this up, real world events. I want to develop my own fantasy world with large and small continents, vast cities and quaint towns, and really fleshed out, relatable characters. I want to create a really interesting story that tackles human problems and promotes tolerance and growth. It'll be something that will put every facet of myself onto paper... or at least I hope.

If I get too much in my own head, I tend to stop writing entirely. So, I just try and keep writing, even if I think it might end up being bad or not making sense. I try and just get words on the page and worry about going back to tweak and edit later. I find it's easier to edit something bad into good, than to try and come up with something perfect off the pen.

Stories have always taught me a lot, and helped me deal with my depression and anxiety. So, I wanted to be able to create my own and hopefully help people, like myself, by giving them something to relate to. It took awhile, as I started writing Mourning Sky all the way back in 2014 and wasn't able to publish it until 2019. I didn't intend to write anymore after that, but ultimately I felt like my first book didn't live up to my standards and there was still more I wanted to add to it. So my first trilogy sort of just snowballed from simply wanting to write about my feelings.

To just write every day, no matter how much or how little. Just take some time to write and keep writing. Eventually it'll all work out and come together.
