Relax, it's just your life. What could go wrong?

Peg - The book is currently out of print, but I've been talking to the publisher about getting the files, and finding a way to get it back out. Every now and again a used copy pops up at Amazon, but hopefully I can get something new set up before too long! Thanks for the interest!

I'd say the ideas for ANY book come from the grave daily injustices we suffer, the shackles that prevent us from being truly free in our hearts and minds. Maybe it's the damn job, maybe its jealousy, rage, maybe it's snarky disgust, maybe it's a wrong you aim to right, someone you've long wanted to get even with, or maybe just a bunch of jokes you want to take credit for. A book takes thousands of ideas -- and they come from everywhere, come from the terrible joy of living.

Surviving the day job, and living a happy life despite it. In the quiet moments, one of many novella projects, short stories, and the next poetry manuscript.

Finishing something, and really being happy with it. That's as good as it gets. We put up with everything else for that well-earned sigh of contentment.

Live, laugh, suffer, drink, fuck, be humbled and amazed by the world -- feel life as deeply and completely as I can...all while trying to keep my roof and stay out of trouble.

Write the books you've always wanted to read, the books only you can write. To hell with what's popular. People want to connect with a deeper humanity in the books they read...and the only way to get that into whatever you're writing, it to pour your whole heart into it.

If I can't write, then I read or work on something I've already written. If that doesn't work, then I just eat, drink, and go about living until the energy to work returns. The goal is to write great books, so there's no reason to compromise that or to rush it. Maybe it'll happen, maybe it won't...but worrying about it never helps. Work hard at being happy and understanding yourself...the writing will happen.
