I am currently writing the next book in the Surviving Red series. It is a side story, but it is integral for book 2.

First, you have to figure out if it’s really writer’s block or the need for a break. I sometimes give myself a 2 weeks (max) break. If I find that I cannot write after my break. Then I just power through it by writing (whether it’s good or not).

When I first started out writing, music was my biggest inspiration. As of lately, a lot of my inspiration comes from my dreams. My dreams are so intense at times that they make for good story ideas.

I have asthma, just like the main character. One day I was sitting in an ER room because I was having an asthma attack. At the time I didn't have insurance and the hospital I was currently at, I owed money to. For whatever reason, I wondered what they would’ve done if they saw that I owed them money. Would they deny me the treatment? Would they have someone come out to detain me? Would my treatment be illegal? I went on a downward spiral from there, and thus, Surviving Red was born.
