T.J. Beach I'm an ex-journalist and did quite a bit of sub-editing, which has given me a firm belief that it's massively easier to revise copy / fix up something bad than to write the first draft. So my fix for a block is to write anything, anything at all, complete garbage, because I know I can come back later and make it better.
T.J. Beach The thrill of writing a scene that's good.
T.J. Beach Same as you'll get from everyone else - the more you write there better you'll get, the more you read the better you'll get, the more feedback you give and receive, the better you'll get.
T.J. Beach I'm trying to stay busy. I'm tidying up my thriller The First Guerrilla for publication, editing my second mystery romance Meet Me Under Brooklyn Bridge and drafting The Second Guerrilla: M5M.
T.J. Beach I started writing again because I was stuck in Fly In Fly Out accommodation working on a mine. I ran out of books on my kindle, searched books of 99 cents and found a load of romance mysteries that I loved. I thought, 'I can do that'. Little did I know how hard it would be!
As for the next part of there story, that usually comes while I'm out jogging, in the form of an image or a snatch of dialogue as in 'if X said this, Y would say that and...' or 'Y should see X with another woman and get the wrong idea...'
T.J. Beach Meet Me at the Hanging Tree came from a desire to write about somewhere I knew - in this case the south west of Western Australia.
