Sign up for creative writing classes, either community education or those for credit, if that's important to you. Some of the writing workshops I've attended were helpful, too. I used to have a little notebook and pen handy all the time, but now I just jot down book ideas on my phone. Whatever way works, you need to have a way to keep those ideas when they come to you!
