My recent book is a story of abuse, hurt and a feeling of being lost. I felt I had to tell this story as it is very personal to me and I wanted other people who may be in a similar situation or gone through something similar to connect with the story and hopefully realise that they are not alone.

I am working on a series at the moment about a boy and girl who fight supernatural beings and eventually meet and feel instantly connected to one an other, but they don't know why. They try and find answers to why they are so alike and so in tune as well as fighting vampires, demons and witches and staying alive.

Allow your mind and heart to write your story. Don't worry if it takes you draft after draft to get it right. Trust me you will change it constantly as you go, but that is a good thing as it helps your story grow and become exactly what you want it to be. Let your imagination run free!

I love being a writer. When I was younger I loved getting lost in other people's stories and going on their adventure and I always knew that I wanted to do the same for other people. I want people to come on a journey with me, to escape everyday life and go somewhere else, even if it is just for a short time.

Whenever I am suffering from writer's block, I go on a nature walk with my children. Having them with me and being in the fresh air always helps me think clearer, otherwise I plug my music in and allow the music to wash over me and give me inspiration.
