Research, conversations with friends... real people I know... I wanted to create a series with diversity as my world has it... so that's what I'm doing. I even ask my friends for help to make sure I can represent without it crossing any lines.

Don't give up. Ever. Please. You'll regret it if you do. I spent years so close to giving up... but I think when you're an artist, you always want to give up and never give up simultaneously. Don't let your inner demon win.

I take a break and go play with my horses... Or I watch something unrelated for a few days. I usually have about a week or two a month where I can't focus at all (thank you mother nature) and I just take that time to go over what I wrote, share it with my BETA readers and have them ask questions so I can work on it when I am refocused again.

I am working on the Sequel to ASCEND::: Descend... I've been actively researching some lesser known folklore to create some new wonderful characters that I'm already very fond of.

I've had this idea in some shape or form since I learned about Lilith as a teenager. Something important was being able to sit down and focus on writing it down. After I took a trip back home, I was inspired... Not to mention I had been listening to a lot of people complain how there weren't enough inclusive books and I wanted to change that... So I did :) I added diversity, through different backgrounds and identities, both human and supernatural. It's unbelievably organic for supernatural creatures to be the most diverse group of people you'd find.
