It hasn't really happened yet as the ideas are coming easily. However, I would just take time out from the writing process and go and do something else completely. I tend to like getting out on my bike, it clears the head!

I love the process of coming up with the ideas and illustrating the story. It's a very fulfilling feeling. The reactions from children when they read the books for the first time is so rewarding. You hope that your ideas connect, but when you actually see and hear it for yourself...it's incredible. That's the benefit of creating illustrated children's books, the feedback is pretty instant!

Just get your ideas down once you have an idea. Try and plan out the story so there is an arc that makes sense to a reader and go from there. Try and have fun and enjoy the process

I'm working on the third book in the series. This time Lily is going on a family holiday, so is experiencing the magic of visiting somewhere new with the people she loves. Whilst out one day Lily accidentally loses Rosie Bear, one of her favourite toys. The story is about Rosie Bear trying to get back to her best friend.

There is a never ending stream of ideas that come from watching my daughter. Once I have captured an idea that I think other children can relate to I get writing. I always have the idea of the illustrations in mind

From my youngest daughter. She is 3 years old and is experiencing the world for the first time. It's magical to see how she interprets things. Her favourite toys are her best friends, the book explores what happens when she can't find one of them
