Lo mejor de ser escritora es poder habitar un mundo en el que todo es posible, en que todo puede ser creado. Es maravillarse ante el milagro de amar un personaje que surgió de vos y entender que eso es amarse a uno mismo.
Lo mejor de ser escritora es poder navegar aguas oscuras, dejar libre el deseo sin correcciones políticas, atravesar lo más sublime y lo más bajo de la naturaleza humana y descubrir la belleza en ambos aspectos.
Y cuando creaste un mundo y descubrís que alguien más quiere habitarlo, que sintió con los personajes, que tu libro le hizo mirar la vida de otra manera, aunque sea un poco... Olvídense de todo el resto: eso es lo mejor.
Porque también sos lectora, y los lectores sabemos que un libro amado se convierte en parte de nuestras almas.
The best thing about being a writer is to be able to inhabit a world in wich everything is possible, in wich everything can be created. Is to be amazed of the miracle of loving a character you created, and understanding that means loving yourself.
The best thing about being a writer is to navigate dark water, let the desire flow free without being polite, go through the most sublime and also the lowest of human nature, and realize there´s beauty in both.
And when you´ve created a world and you find out that someone is willing to inhabitate it, that they felt with the characters and that your book made them look thoug life somehow differently... Forget everything else: that´s the best.
Because you´re also a reader, and we readers know that a loved book becomes a part of our souls.
