Tony, most impressed by the 'Twelve Assassins......' I am also fascinated by Simon de Montfort and recently joined the Simon de Montfort Society. Are you able to discuss plans for future novels?

Tony Bennett Hi Michael, thanks for your kind words! I wish more people were fascinated by Simon de Montfort. It took me five years to write 12 Assassins and yes I am able and happy to discuss plans for future novels..

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Tony Bennett The idea came gradually. I knew I wanted the book to be set in the medieval period and I'd picked up a copy of Marc Morris' book on Edward 1 and started there. I read around the subject and found the story of Simon de Montfort to be fascinating and it all came together over a period of five long years.
