I 'revisit' why I started writing in the first place. I write non-fiction books, and, in most cases, I have a problem to solve. I relax for a while, listen to music, etc. then list the problems to be addressed. I then search for solutions never suggested before. I look at life from different angles and for things thought as impossible then I try to find solutions for these.

You can easily tell people your visions for the future through writing and use that book you have written as a manual, a road map or a plan to achieve just that and people can easily relate to your visions.

If non-fiction. Then write a topic or something you are passionate about something close to you that the readers can also relate to.

The idea of a better world. We are the most sophisticated species created by the creator, yet we are the most under achievers operating below optimal levels. Choosing inferior, cheap methods yet the most destructive ones. Lacking superior thinking and the guts to change for good.
