Sparrow F. Alden In my own life? Where the *hell* are my glasses?
I posit a house-imp, caught in some kind of mortal-world lock. The only actions allowed to it are typical house-imp mischief, such as misplacing items: our clever imp must misplace items in such a way as to cause the Family to do the magical actions which will release the lock.
Sparrow F. Alden Probably...

The trap snapped shut. Only two of the rats had been stopped.
Sparrow F. Alden On first instinct, I would go to Middle-earth where my heart lies - but that world is infinitely complex and the darkness is very dark indeed. My better judgment says I should go to Narnia.

Whichever place I go I would like to be a travelling storyteller.
Sparrow F. Alden My summer reading list included The Last Unicorn by Peter Beagle and A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. LeGuin!
Sparrow F. Alden I am trying (it hasn't come together yet) to use the principles of state-dependent learning to push through the block. Write at one time, write every day, write in the same place, write with the same starting music ("Lazy Days" by Enya).

When all else fails, walk away from it.
Sparrow F. Alden The writing doesn't happen until I have the discipline to push through my human adult responsibilities. To get the writing done, I have had to become stronger, more focused, more self-disciplined.
Sparrow F. Alden "Show up for work." - Peter Beagle, June, 2012
Sparrow F. Alden I am polishing up the other Morning Meander collections which I've been writing for about five years now. I also have projects going in sacred time management and in lovingly and supportively parenting trans kids.
Sparrow F. Alden I'm inspired *all the time*, but the world insists that we do things like pay the bills and feed the kids. My struggle is getting inspired to do the non-writing... which eats up the time, so then I don't write. It's disheartening when that happens.
Sparrow F. Alden In all honesty, I walk the dogs and the thoughts bubble up and as quick as I can get to my desk I let them spill out through my hands.
