Hey, Niharika! I originally wrote The Pizza Shop Chronicles for an older teen audience, but I've found most of readers who enjoy the series are between 10 & 15, so I guess it's somewhere between YA & MG :) Thank you for asking!

Writer's block is generally just me procrastinating about the next words, so I just sit down and start writing one word at a time until they flow again. Everyday. No procrastination.

Aside from hearing readers' reactions to my work, I think one of the very best things about being a writer is that it is yours to fall in love with every day, and it never seems to get old because there is always something new to discover about your stories or characters or worlds.

Inspiration often finds me at random moments when I'm outdoors. Like a little voice suddenly popping out of nowhere and saying, "Look at this flower! Oh my goodness, what if there were people that grew these flowers in their hair? You've got to write this!"

My most recent book, Elfboy, actually came from two sources:
The first was my desire to create a character that everyone would love (and it almost worked!)
The second was the name of my pet cockerel, Elfboy, a Silver Spangled Hamburg. It just seemed fitting for the title of a book.
