Garris L.R. Coleman Loki Where Mischief Lies by Mackenzi Lee
Garris L.R. Coleman Allow yourself to write bad and don't worry about deleting anything or fixing what you have written. You can do that in another stage, the most important thing is to get your creativity working so you can put your words down and make room for new ideas. If you have trouble with that, I recommend that you read Drawing on the right side of the Brain by Betty Edwards. She has exercises in the book that will open up your creative side and how to get your creative side flowing. This book can apply to many things not just drawing.
Garris L.R. Coleman I am currently working on getting the second book in the Curse of Crowns series polished and ready for release.
Garris L.R. Coleman Keep writing, even if it's only a paragraph or a few words, that way your story will always be moving forward even if it's the wrong direction and the end seems nowhere in sight. You can always fix it at another time. But if you skip on writing there's nothing to correct and you will never finish. Another thing is don't listen to people who will try to pull you down, they are toxic. Look toward where you want to be and go.
Garris L.R. Coleman I have many talents to pull from which keeps the creativeness flowing. The only time I'm not creating something is when I'm asleep, and then I'm dreaming about the next thing. The talents I pull from are drumming, guitar, bass, cello, piano, martial arts, drawing, and photography. I'm always doing one of these things and when I'm not, I'm more and likely writing.
Garris L.R. Coleman I originally was working on concepts for a couple of video games. As I was writing my ideas for the games, my mind flooded with a short story. I always write everything down regardless if it is good or bad you never know if you will be able to use it later. Once I got my ideas out and onto paper, more and more kept pouring until it was a full-length novel.
