Fern F. Musselwhite I can’t think of any mysteries in my life that would make an interesting story. Guess I just need to keep making them up!
Fern F. Musselwhite I would observe the day-to-day life of the Bennet family in Pride and Prejudice. I'm fascinated by the every day lives of people in different time periods, and this one seems like a good place to start for time travel.
Fern F. Musselwhite A Gentleman in Moscow, Little Fires Everywhere
Fern F. Musselwhite We have a small boat, and we were out for a ride one morning. The sun was glistening off the wake, and it reminded me of diamonds. I thought, "I wonder if a female fishing guide would think that?" I went home and typed up some notes, then put it away. Fern F. Musselwhite Often it's when I'm running. I'll think of some place that I want the story or a character to go, and I can't wait to get back to my computer to develop the idea.
Fern F. Musselwhite I started another novel a couple of years ago but put it away to concentrate on finishing Windblown. I'll work on it now. It's a different sort of story, so I'm really excited to get back to it.
Fern F. Musselwhite Give it a shot. I never aspired to writing a novel, and when I came up with the initial idea for Windblown, I didn't think I could develop it sufficiently to turn it into a novel. The ideas just kept falling out of my head. If it can happen to me, it can happen to you.
Fern F. Musselwhite Having the freedom to lead your characters into and out of anywhere you want to go. It's a pretty magical place.
Fern F. Musselwhite I go for a run in the woods. Being out on a trail seems to open up story ideas and conversations between characters that I didn't know existed.
