I throw my computer at the cat.... just kidding. I don't have a cat.
Normally, I'll get up and go for a walk or throw back a shot of tequila. For some reason, the burn in my throat makes me want to sit down and just pour my thoughts onto paper. Pinterest also helps me a lot. If I see something on there that inspires me, I'll shut down everything and get back to work. Plus, (not to sound like a broken record), I have my supporters who I can message for a kick in the rump when I don't feel like working anymore.

The best thing about being a writer is the fact that I can kill off the people that hold me up in the grocery store. They won't see the look of anger on my face, or hear me calling them names; but good luck with that serial killer I'll be letting loose in your chapter... jerk.
On a serious note - it's a great way for me to express my creativity. I'm an artist as well as a musician (using that term lightly), so when I write, it's just another form of expressing myself. Plus, it's absolutely amazing to be the one writing the books that others will someday read.

I am currently working on editing two other novels. Once those are finished and sent back to their writers, I will be diving in to book two of my trilogy. "Losing Sight" - Book 2 of the Perception Trilogy.
It will be the story of Kaycie; Ava's best friend from Book 1. How she handles the struggle of what she had to face. It will be a little brutal - warning to my readers!

My support group. I am involved in a lot of Facebook groups with other writers and asked if anyone would be willing to form a small support group to hold each other accountable. I was swarmed with replies and chose three other girls to join me. We keep each other on track and it's nice to have new friends who are working at the same pace as me.
Having a following on most of my social media also helps keep me inspired. It's amazing how many people are excited to read my book; and it's not even published yet!

I actually got the idea in a dream I had. I woke up in a cold sweat from a dream where I was running from the "bad guys". The minute my feet hit the floor, I found a pad and pen and started jotting down the ideas. The book was written in less than a month. Editing and publishing took about a month as well.
