Kate McLaughlin Hey there! Thanks for the question and sorry to have taken so long to answer. I think Lex is good for now. I just want to have her go on and have a lovely life with as little drama as possible. But, you never know. If I get a good idea for her, I might revisit.

Kate McLaughlin I just finished up the first draft of a new YA about Dissociative Identity Disorder, and am planning out an adult novel I hope to sell or self-publish. It is also about trafficking, but from a mother's perspective.
Kate McLaughlin What Unbreakable Looks Like came from an NPR story my husband heard. He told me he thought I should write about Human Trafficking. At the time I didn't know it was the horribly profitable industry that it is. I did some research, got really angry, and decided he was right -- I needed to write about it. Then, I started mentoring a girl who had been trafficked and I saw first hand what happens to these girls.
