Bill Post I have a new book to be published in a week or so, "Space Conflict; The Vandia Affair." It is a sequel of sorts to "Star Colony," but it is set a century
later.

"Star Colony" had a couple of messages I wanted to send--that it will be hard, if not impossible, to find a planet that Man can comfortably colonize, and if we did ever find such a planet, evolution will have taken essentially the same path as Earth's evolution. That belief is driven by the fact that Earth has evolved over four billion years, and life has evolved over the last three hundred million years or so to fit the conditions on Earth. If we find a planet that Man can be comfortable on, it is logical that life similar to Earth will have evolved there.

"Space Conflict" is more action/adventure. The protagonist is a Lieutenant in the US Space Navy, and the heroine is, believe it or not, an Amish woman from another planet, although not a typical member of the Amish. She is adventurous and drags him into several dangerous escapades.

I am a romantic and all my novels have a strong romantic theme; this one does also, but the evolution of their relationship is a little different.

If you like space action, this one will not disappoint.
