I enjoy letting the characters "run wild" and do what they will over trying to force them into a story. I think of them as my made-up friends!

This might not be true for you, but the point is; experiment as you are starting.

Will Simpson I am working on the next book in the Central Texas Sharks serial; the working title is Wild Phil from Liberty Hill.

Phil (the bookie who was introduced in "YOU'VE GOT TO LOSE TO WIN" will be the focal character in this story. In short, it is his origin story.
Will Simpson I have always loved telling stories, but writing them down is new. With this in mind, I have learned to set a block of time to "just write" with reckless abandon and see what comes out on the page.

This method keeps the creative side of writing fun; then, I go back for the work part of editing.
