For me, the business of writing is a craft that only occasionally rises to the level of art. I am first an artisan; an artist later. When I get into a block, I guess I am trying too much the art part. I climb down to my craft – me the wordsmith – and, lo, the writer’s block vanishes. Also, as a craftsman, if I choose to stick around in the block long, I starve, I vanish; and wouldn’t be there to take your questions. No?

Jim Collins' masterpiece GOOD TO GREAT captivated me. Though written through examples of business enterprises, it has great lessons for youths pursueing careers. I gifted individual copies to each of my children. The 320-page long non-fiction adores their bookself, yet unfinished, in almost a decace. Dismaying, no?
That gave me the idea why not write a fiction that encapsulates the concepts of the book, and, lo, it bred The Foe Within.
