Marie Joseph-Charles The best advice I have for dealing with writer's block is to wait it out. The more you fight it, the harder it is to clear.
Marie Joseph-Charles Sharing my thoughts and feelings with the world is the best part. I won't be right or famous and I'm happy with that. There will be plenty of people who won't like my work and I'm fine with that too. At the end of the day, if I can make just a handful of people happy with what I've written, then I'm proud of what I've done.
Marie Joseph-Charles Don't give up! I know we all say this, but it's true. If it is truly your passion and truly something you believe you are meant to do, don't give up. Take classes, go to workshops, or write to established authors for help. This is a harsh world to try to survive in but if you're willing to fight, you can do it!
Marie Joseph-Charles Oh, boy. This one isn't so simple. Since I don't have any rhyme or reason to my writing, I'm typically working on multiple projects. Currently here are a few:
Rainbow in Mourning- Rainbow in Mourning follows the live of seven murderers. Some may be sociopaths, psychopaths, or just reached their snapping point. Their stories are told by the "Author" who uses their woe-some tales to further her career. But what happens when her muse is gone? Where will she get her inspiration when there aren't any murders being committed?
Tu Ne Cede Malis- Three in the morning is known as the Devil's Hour. Grace Nightingale has woken up at three every day of her life. She is a Holy Child and sensitive to demons. She's lived with this annoyance her whole life. But, one night, everything changes. A demon named Onoskelis slips through and helps her seek revenge on the men who do her wrong. Unfortunately, but the demon can be difficult to please and when she decides Grace's best friend, Aaron, must die, Grace must do everything she can to fight for his life.
An Anthology of Death- A collection of my favorite short stories that I have written as told from the points of view of the killers.
The Best Friend's Story- The Sequal to A Story That's Been Told a Thousand Times. This book follows the life of Frank and gives inside into her complex emotions behind her perfect facade. More importantly, it goes into detail about the strain on her marriage to Brian and his eventual infidelity.
Marie Joseph-Charles I will get random whims to write. I don't have any particular inspiration at all. I have tons of notes and voice recordings on my phone because I'll come up with ideas and I have to get them out, even while I'm driving. Most of my inspiration comes during long walks or long car rides when my head is clear of the chaos that is the real world.
Marie Joseph-Charles The idea for A Story That's Been Told a Thousand Times is the result of my actual life. When I wrote it, I was in a very unhappy relationship though my actual ex is not as bad or as dangerous as Keith. My best (female) friend really does live far away and has the family she always dreamed of. My best male friend is honestly the person who keeps me going. He's a shoulder to cry on or the voice to tell me to get a grip; whichever I need at the time. I have had MANY people tell me that we should date. That's where the idea came from. What if I really did fall for my best friend?
